Mates Leather Weekend raises record sum

375 Leatherfolk were on hand for the 24th Mates Leather Weekend in Provincetown, MA the weekend of September 30 - October 4 and by all accounts had a great time. The event raised a record $6,440 for the AIDS Support Group of Cape Cod, bringing the total to date over $78,000. In addition, 26 men took part in ASGCC’s Free Health Screening throughout the weekend.

The event raised $4,074 for the AIDS Support Group of Cape Cod. In addition, 50 men took part in Unit 10's Free Health Screening during MLW. Unit 10 is part of the AIDS Support Group of Cape Cod’s Men’s Health Project dedicated to education and prevention. These men deserve our respect and admiration for taking such a proactive approach in maintaining their good health and the health of their partners.

The 2014 First Mate contest was held on Saturday, October 4 with Mr. New England Leather 2014 and First Mate 2013 Steve Dupont serving as emcee.

After careful consideration by judges Mr. Connecticut Leather 2015 David Gerard, Mr. New England Rubber 2014 Mark Lefebvre and Northeast Leather Sir 2014 Jim Maciel. Jeremy Weis from Albany, NY was chosen First Mate 2014. First runner-up was Sullivan from Providence RI and second runner-up was Scruffy from Bloomfield, NJ.
