CLAW LA - Leather Getaway, in its sophomore year, was held November 23-27 at the Westin Bonaventure in Los Angeles and had many of the regular CLAW-like events added several new ones. New events included Digital Silent Auctions, Strip Bingo and Leather Celebrity X's and O's.

CLAW 2021 held November 24-28 at the Westin Bonaventure in Down Town Los Angeles has come and gone. The huge space with events going on at the same time in the lower convention rooms and suites and halls on the top section of the world-class piece of architecture made it difficult for attendees to get an idea of just how many Leatherfolk were there. CLAW producers did let The Leather Journal know there were over 400 volunteers

Los Angeles Pup is Pup Kieran Hound

The Los Angeles Pup Pride Festival was held October 22-24 with Pup Kieran Hound winning the LA Pup Contest in front of about 100 enthusiastic spectators at MCC in the Valley in North Hollywood, CA.

The first runner-up was Rick Boehle and the second runner-up was Oliver Vogel.

The judging panel included (head judge) Mr. Leather CMEN 2004 Mark Lager, Mr. Leather CMEN 2009 Daniel Brookshire and Mr. Leather CMEN 2012 Sean McGowan.

The emcee was Mr. Leather CMEN 2003 Rob Silver.

Dennis plans to compete in the International Mr. Leather 2015 contest. He stated “I am proud to have been selected by a group of supportive and loving men to participate in IML to represent the love behind the Leather."

As an activist in the gay rights movement since 1987, Dennis has a long history of charity and community service both within and outside of the LGBTQ and Leather communities. According to Dennis "many LGBTQ people endured persecution and even death for simply being who they authentically were, and it is from their and our pain that we fight to acquire simple rights."
