ILSLb ICBB will be held Labor Day Weekend in 2021

By Jeffrey Payne

International Leather Sir, Leatherboy and Community Bootblack has delayed the 2020 Labor Day Weekend event until Labor Day in 20201. This also holds true for the Pantheon of Leather Awards. This decision was not made lightly nor in a rush to judgment. We understand our Event is five months away; however, the financial and economic ramifications of this Pandemic will last longer than that time frame. We cannot, in good conscience, ask our Regional Producers and Regional Titleholders to scrape together limited and scarce finances in order to attend the event. Nor are we, in good conscience, wanting to ask our Corporate Sponsors to redirect finances to our event, when they could and will be using those same funds to assist other organizations who serve our greater community with food, rent, utility payments, etc. The 2019 titleholders will continue with their titles and step-aside in 2021.

Science of BDSM new Consent Survey

By Brad Sagarin

We've just launched a new survey on consent attitudes and practices in different types of relationships. The purpose of the study is to better understand how BDSM practitioners negotiate consent and whether this process differs in pick up play versus long-term relationships. The study is completely anonymous and takes about 20 minutes to complete. In order to participate you must be 18+ and self-identify as being part of the BDSM/Leather/kink community. If you would like to participate, go to

Southern California Leather Gathering

By Pug

It is with a deep sense of love for, and commitment to, the Leather/kink/bdsm/fetish communities that the Southern California Leather Gathering (SCLG) 2020 has been cancelled. Much thought went into this decision. Even if shelter-at-home orders are lifted by June, this pandemic will still pose a risk at such gatherings in the coming months. This would have been the 19th annual SCLG and, while it is disappointing to have to wait another year, SCLG will be back. My hope is that all of you remain safe and healthy in the coming months and that all of you are still here to attend SCLG in 2021 the weekend of June 19.

Are You Worth a Rug Burn?

Are You Worth a Rug Burn? is the absolutely zany, live action, interactive, game show about oral sex, produced by The Bear Television Network. The game show is the brain child of Bear Television Network CEO, Michael "The Metropolitan Cowboy" Coleman. The live-action game is based on the outrageous, John Waters inspired, music video to the song, "Rug Burn" by the dance and disco duo, Red Carpet Premiere. "Are You Worth a Rug Burn?" pits three contestants against one another, all competing for cold, hard cash. The game is played in three parts, Part 1: The Audience Question and Answer, Part 2: The Rug Burn Wheel of Death and Part 3: The Mystery Jock Strap. What makes the show so outrageous are the challenges that come up on The Rug Burn Wheel of Death. Each challenge on wheel comes from the imagination of The Metropolitan Cowboy and every challenge is personally tailored to the contestants competing on the show.
"The challenges are the hardest part of the show to produce.", said Coleman. "Every challenge has to be over-the-top and has to have a unique name associated with it, plus we need 30 per show, but the contestants spinning The Rug Burn Wheel of Death is what our audience comes to see." "Are You Worth a Rug Burn?" is filmed in Phoenix, Arizona, but The Bear Television Network has plans to take the show on the road in 2020 and eventually would like to film an episode in all 50 states. If you want compete on the show or learn more about "Are You Worth a Rug Burn?"

NCSF - Sex Clubs Are Fighting for Survival Amid the Coronavirus Pandemic

“Social distancing is having a serious impact on kink communities, and sex clubs like these are a central part of members’ social lives and an important part of their identities. “A lot of people here in New York share their living spaces,” explains Melissa. “For kinky people, this can be really isolating. They might not want to bring a partner home, for example. That’s why safe spaces like NSFW are so important.”
