About TLJ

By February 14, 2015

Since May of 1986 The Leather Journal's mission has always been to provide community news to members of the entire bdsm/fetish/kink and Leather community.  A news paper not only reports the news, but provides historical reference.  Charitable events, title holder history, marriages and commitment ceremonies, book releases, opening night performances, and obituaries all deserve their moment in time to be preserved.  Well we can't do it if we don't know about it! Community contributions are the lifeblood of this paper, especially the website.  We simply cannot travel to every event every day that we want to cover (sometimes even in our hometowns!)

If you have ever thought, The Leather Journal is a west coast paper...or is only about people in Los Angeles, you couldn't be more wrong.  South Africa, Canada, NY, Florida, Denver, Salt Lake, Phoenix, MD and now Germany and hopefully soon the UK all have regular contributors! This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.  You can submit, articles, event photos for the gallery, calendar events (which will be printed in the print version), organization information for the clubs directory, and even submit your business to The Leather Mall online - ALL FOR FREE!

We can only keep it free because of our advertisors, subscribers and generous donations.

Vonn Tramel

Vonn Tramel has been a kinky "friday night femme" since she was 17.  She found the Leather community in 2007 and began her Leather Journey in 2008 after attending a Cigar Play Class in Long Beach, CA at Pistons Bar. A meeting with Dave Rhodes in May of 2008, changed her path for better or worse when she filmed and photographed the 2008 West Coast Olympus Contest, then International Olympus in Chicago that year....the rest they say is her-story.

Edit: In 2012 she was approached by Dave to join The Leather Journal as it's Webmaster with business partner Bryan Teague.
