Ron Clemons, Producer of the Mr. Tri-State Leather/Rubber Contest and a founding member of SCORPIUS of Cincinnati, was named a Grand Marshall for this year's Pride Parade. Additionally, the Leather/Kink Community had the honor of being the lead float in the parade. Sponsors of the float were Tri-State Leather, Ruff Pups of CNKY and Titans of the Midwest. The float organizer was Pup Nuzz and Kings CJD provided the truck.

Cincinnati, long known for it's conservative energy, is showing signs of being more open to the concepts of inclusion and diversity. From electing it's first openly gay City Council  member, Chris Seelbach,  to domestic partner registry for partners of city employees, to corporate sponsorship of Gay Pride (P&G, Krogers, 5/3 Bank), the city now scores 100 on HRC's index of livability for LGBT people. This reflects a huge change from the days of Robert Mapplethorpe, Marge Schott and Article 12, making it legal to discriminate against the LGBTQ community members.

November 7-9 is when Tri-State holds the Mr. Tri-State Leather and Rubber Rubber Contest as well as adding a new title, Tri-State Pup to the Tri-State Family.
