Michigan Leather - Will Baker

Mr. Michigan Leather Weekend celebrated 10 years of being Friendly with Mr. Friendly’s 10th Birthday and capped off the weekend by selecting Will Baker as Mr. Michigan Leather 2019 on Saturday, September 22 at the Dunes Resort in Saugatuck, MI. Eric Redfern, Mr. Dunes Leather 2018 was named runner-up. Will Baker will represent Michigan at International Mr. Leather in May. This year featured a Friday night Mr. Friendly 10th Birthday Bash, a Bourbon and Cigar Party, hosted by the Michigan Band of Brothers; workshops presented by Jamie Andrews of the Chicago Hellfire Club and Daddybear J of the Titans of the Midwest; and a poolside barbeque on Saturday afternoon. The event was co-Emceed by Bob Johnson and Dave Watt.

27th Annual Leather Walk
The 27th Annual Leather Walk took place on Sunday, September 23 starting at at 440 Castro in San Francisco, CA where walkers picked up their collectible Leather Walk pin. Folsom Street Events presents Leather Walk annually as the official kick-off for San Francisco's Leather Week. Entertainment started at the Jane Warner Plaza. The walk moved on from the front of Castro Theatre. The Walk featured Master of Ceremonies BeBe Sweetbriar and included stops at SF Oasis, Powerhouse, Mr. S Leather, Lone Star Saloon and the SF Eagle for a Flag Raising and beer bust.

Manchester Leather Weekend
Manchester Leather Weekend returns October 5-8 and will be bigger and better than before with a weekend packed full of great events. As before, we’ve endeavored to have many free events, including our popular Workshops, Tom Does Manchester, Fetish Market, drinks and bingo, President's Dinner, BLUF Manchester, Sunday brunch, The Last Dance, art auction, farewell drinks. This year’s charity partner is the LGBT Foundation, specifically their mental health program. Leather Archives - Chuck Renslow President’s Award
On September 22, the Leather Archives & Museum presented the 2018 Chuck Renslow President’s Award to Mark Ensinger at the Mr. Michigan Leather competition. Mark passed away in 2017 at the age of 83. As an\ original member of DELTA and a member of the Chicago HellFire Club, Mark was known for hosting over 300 play parties in his Number 6 Dungeon located in Novi, MI. Mark’s attention to detail contributed an incredible history of kink and play parties to the LA&M collections. Additional dungeon items were donated to the LA&M to sell at its annual Kinky Rummage Sale, where they could be recycled back into the community. This raised over $10,000 and created many happy kinksters. Mark also left 25-percent of his estate to support the work of LA&M. The award was accepted by two members of Mark’s Leather family, Don and Lonnie.

MAFIA Club Night
MAFIA's monthly club nights are held the first Friday of each month at Touche Chicago, 6412 North Clark Street, Chicago, IL from 10 PM until 1 AM. The next two dates are October 5 and November 2. This year, as the Knight Hawks of Virginia celebrate their 25th Anniversary, they will be hosting one of their biggest and best cruises ever on Friday, September 28.
